Columbus Mixter was born June 23, 1826, in the state of Maryland.
In the 1880 Census... we find that Columbus and family had moved into Hampden, Baltimore County.
The family at this time included Columbus and Harriet, William Henry, Mary Catherine, John Robert, Joseph Slicer and Charles Edward.
The 1910 Federal Census finds William Henry and Mary (Wise) Mixter still living in the Hampden house where Columbus Mixter and Harriet (Lindemore) Mixter had moved when they left the house on Falls and Old Court Roads, 605 Merrymans Ave.
The name "MIXTER" is a name usually associated with the New England States.
